INP Deploys 434.197 Personnel for Operation Mantap Brata

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has deployed 434.197 personnel for the "Operation Mantap Brata 2023-2024" in preparation for safeguarding the 2024 Elections. "INP has deployed a total of 434.197 personnel, comprising personnel from the INP Headquarters and those assigned to regional task forces or respective provincial police," stated the Head of the Public Relations Division of INP, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, during a Coordination Meeting on the Readiness of Operation Mantap Brata 2023-2024 at the Tribrata Building, Jakarta, on Wednesday (27/9/23). He explained that under the command of Commissioner General Fadil Imran, Head of the Security Maintenance Agency (Kabaharkam), serving as the chief of the special task force, and Commissioner General Anang Revandoko, Commander of the Mobile Brigade Corps, acting as the vice head of the special task force. "Regional task forces are led by the regional police chiefs and their respective staff," he added. The operational strategy of Operation Mantap Brata 2023-2024 places emphasis on preemptive and preventive measures. These are complemented by law enforcement activities, public relations efforts, and operational support, all aimed at fostering a secure and well-ordered public environment (kamtibmas) across Indonesia. In evaluating the INP's preparedness for securing the 2024 Elections, he highlighted the Coordination Meeting's significance. This meeting convened with the participation of key figures including Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, and representatives from the Indonesian Military. "The meeting aims to assess INP's readiness for the implementation of the 2024 Elections, tensuring it unfolds safely, smoothly, and in an orderly manner, in alignment with expectations, and characterized by peace, integrity, fairness, and transparency," he affirmed. Among the attendees were regional police chiefs, heads of planning and budgeting bureaus, operational bureau chiefs, regional intelligence chiefs, and senior officials from the INP Headquarters.
