The Papua Regional Police through Operation Mantap Praja Cartenz 2024 carried out security for the Plenary Session for the Determination of the Elected Candidate Pairs for Governor and Vice Governor of Papua Province following the Constitutional Court (MK) decision at the Papua Province KPU Office, Holtekam Village, Muara Tami District, Jayapura City, Saturday (9/20/2025).

Security was led directly by the Vice Chief of Operation Mantap Praja Cartenz 2024, Senior Superintendent Dede Alamsyah with a total of 313 personnel from seven Task Forces of Operation Mantap Praja Cartenz 2024 were deployed to ensure the event ran safely, orderly, and conducively. 

Personnel were deployed at several strategic points, both within the Papua Provincial KPU Office and along the security route.

From the beginning of the activity, personnel maintained order as one of the pair’s supporters were rallying at the KPU Office. 

Furthermore, the ranks also closely guarded the documents resulting from the Papua Province Revote (PSU) Plenary to ensure the integrity and security of these documents.

Meanwhile, the plenary session to determine the elected candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of Papua proceeded smoothly until the entire series of activities were completed.

The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Cahyo Sukarnito, expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of all parties so that the activity proceeded without disruption.

"This security is a form of police's commitment to maintaining security stability and the smooth running of the election stages, especially following the Constitutional Court's decision," concluded Senior Superintendent Cahyo Sukarnito.
