Tomi has gone missing after he was swept away by the current on December 18, 2024, when crossing the Rawara River with other personnel to monitor the activities of the Armed Criminal Group leader, Marthen Aikingking.

"Possibly tomorrow or the day after, the fact-finding team will arrive in Manokwari. I will make sure to provide follow up on this matter," said the Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ongky Isgunawan on Friday (3/21/2025).

On this occasion, he explained that the fact-finding team was formed by the Indonesian National Police Headquarters, and was one of the recommendations from Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives at a hearing some time ago.

The West Papua Regional Police will later present the entire chronology related to the disappearance of Tomi Samuel Marbun.

"We will later present all the chronology to the Indonesian National Police Headquarters fact-finding team," Ongky concluded.
