inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Cyber Criminal Investigation of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency says 198 online gambling criminal cases have been successfully disclosed from June 21st, 2024 to October 6th, 2024.

“We have uncovered the total of online gambling cases up to 198 cases and arrested 247 suspects,” says Cyber Criminal Investigation Director, Brigadier General Bayu Aji during a press conference on Tuesday (10/8/2024).

He explains that police also seized evidence of 265 mobile phones, 542 laptops, 273 bank accounts, 30 online gambling accounts, one car, one motorbike, 1,051 ATM cards, and cash totaling IDR 6,149,010,200.00. In addition, the Police have carried out preemptive and preventive activities.

"We have carried out 11,708 preemptive activities in the form of education for the community through schools, universities, and government agencies," he said.

Brigadier General Himawan emphasized that the National Police are committed to taking firm action and suppressing online gambling practices through preemptive, preventive, and law enforcement approaches. Coordination with related agencies will also continue to be closely maintained.
