inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered alleged online gambling practices through the Boxkia.com website. In uncovering the case, the Cyber Crime Directorate arrested four suspects who allegedly played different roles in operating the website.

The Director of Cyber Crime of INP, Brigadier General Suhermanto, explained that the case began when investigators discovered the Boxkia.com website, which offered a game with a mechanism similar to a spin game or gacha game.

"In this game mechanism, players use virtual currency to spin to win prizes in the form of goods, such as items, action figures, or cards," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (10/21/2026).

The items obtained by players can be resold for profit. This gameplay pattern is one aspect investigators are investigating in uncovering alleged gambling practices through the website.

To support transactions, the Boxkia website allegedly offers several payment methods, including BRIVA accounts, USDT crypto assets, and QRIS. Meanwhile, player withdrawals were allegedly channeled through Permata Bank and BRI accounts using the DOKU service.

In uncovering this case, investigators arrested four suspects with the initials FAD, ASP, L, and JC. According to Suhermanto, all four are Chinese citizens and are suspected of having different roles within Boxkia's operations.

Suspect JC is suspected of controlling and being responsible for Boxkia's office operations. He is said to have managed employee work assignments and promoted the site to reach more users online.

Meanwhile, FAD is suspected of working in the creative division. His role included content editing, graphic design, and publishing promotional materials on social media, including Instagram and TikTok.

Suspect ASP is suspected of serving as both customer service and admin. He is also said to have played a role in increasing user engagement to boost Boxkia's site ranking.

Suspect L is suspected of being responsible for the financial department. His duties included managing employee salaries, financial bookkeeping, and handling player deposit and withdrawal transactions.

As a result of the disclosure, investigators confiscated several pieces of evidence, including seven BCA ATM cards, seven Chinese bank ATM cards, and several cell phones.

In this case, investigators have charged online gambling, complicity in a crime, and money laundering (TPPU).

Suhermanto stated that investigators are still questioning the suspects and witnesses, conducting digital forensic examinations of electronic evidence, and requesting the blocking of accounts allegedly used to support the operation of the gambling-related website.

Investigators also plan to search Boxkia's office, which, according to reports, is located at Tokopedia Tower, Cengkareng, West Jakarta. Investigators are also completing the administrative investigation and filing of the case.

Suhermanto emphasized that the handling of the online gambling case will continue to be developed to uncover the parties suspected of involvement, including tracing the operational system and flow of funds related to the activity.
