inp.polri.go.id - Manokwari. The Traffic Directorate of the West Papua Regional Police campaigned the movement of  Indonesia Towards Zero Over Dimension and Overloading (ODOL) on Trikora Maripi street, starting at 10.00 am on Friday, (6/20/2025).

This campaign is a follow-up to the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps program which is currently taking place nationally inJune 2025. In this activity, officers conduct inspections of goods transport vehicles passing by, to check on the vehicle’s specification, whether it is still in accordance with the manufacturer's technical specifications (spectacle) or has undergone changes in shape and construction that do not comply with the rules.

In addition to conducting inspections, officers also conveyed direct appeals to drivers regarding the importance of complying with the rules on dimensions and load capacity. Several drivers caught violating the law were given warning as the police promised strict actions in July 2025 during Operation Patuh.

A warning is given to drivers who are found to be carrying vehicles with excessive dimensions or loads exceeding the limit.

Head of Public Relations of the West Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, said the campaign is a proactive step to reduce the number of violations and accidents caused by ODOL vehicles in the West Papua region.

"Over-dimension and over-loading violations not only damage road infrastructure, but also greatly endanger the safety of drivers and other road users. This socialization is part of a preventive effort before we enter the enforcement stage," said the Head of Public Relations.

He also added that the West Papua Police invites people to actively comply with regulations and participate in realizing safe and orderly traffic.
