“Residents fled out of fear following threats from Lekagak Telenggen’s armed criminal group group, but they have now returned after the situation stabilized,” he told antaranews.com.
Chief Punia urged the community to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities to maintain security, emphasizing that the Indonesian Military (TNI) and police are committed to protecting civilians from armed threats.
Meanwhile, Sinak tribal leader Daibenus Murib called on residents to stay calm, continue daily activities, and report any suspicious movements to security forces. He reassured the public that their cooperation is crucial in preventing further disturbances.
