Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Police reaffirmed that strict law enforcement against drug criminal action during Ramadan continues, although the drug flow is in decline. The statement was conveyed by the Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit of Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit Brigadier General Mukti Juharsa. “Usually they are in decline during Ramadan, however we will keep stay on our toes,” explained the Director on Wednesday (3/13/2024). As an anticipation effort, the unit will continue to hold raid operation, particularly in night clubs. Mukti says that so far, the drug flows and smuggling are mostly occurred in the outer parts of Indonesia as the illicit items mostly came from Malaysia. “Still, the gate of drugs smuggling to Indonesia is in Sumatra and Kalimantan as they mostly came from Malaysia. This is based on our evaluation results of the drug flows in Indonesia,” closed Mukti. (ad/ay/pr/nm)
