Police Crack Down on Illegal Oil Drilling in Jambi

Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Special Team for Illegal Drilling at the Jambi Regional Police cracked down against illegal oil drilling in Jebak Village in Batanghari Regency, Jambi. Quoting Jambi Police Chief Inspector General Rusdi Hartono,  the Head of the Jambi Police Public Relations Unit, Senior Superintendent Mulia Prianto said that the illegal oil drilling was uncovered following  information about unauthorized oil drilling activities in Jebak Village, Muara Tembesi Subdistrict, Batanghari Regency. "Upon arrival at the location, the team discovered unauthorized oil drilling activities, and subsequently, the team arrested 4 suspects," he said on Thursday (4/1/2024). The police confiscated evidence, including 2 black Honda motorcycles without license plates, 2 iron pipes, 2 rope rolls, 2 pulleys, and 2 jerry cans containing black liquid resembling crude oil. The spokesperson explained that the suspects and the evidence were taken to the Jambi Police for further examination. (mg/as/pr/nm)
