Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The police forcibly dispersed protesters demonstrating against the the passing of a military bill into law outside the House of Representatives (DPR) complex on Thursday night (20/3/2025) after exceeding the permitted time limit.
Officers cleared Jalan Gatot Subroto street at 7.45 pm using crowd-control measures, with the area fully closed by 8.15 pm, according to antaranews.com.
Authorities repeatedly urged demonstrators to leave via loudspeakers before deploying forces to push back the remaining crowd.
Protesters, including students from Universitas Indonesia and other universities, gradually dispersed in groups before officers intervened.
The road was reopened to the public following the clearance, as demonstrators left the scene.
