The Director of Economic and Special Crimes of INP, Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, explained that the alleged illegal importation of cell phones from China via cargo at Juanda Airport in Surabaya was uncovered by the police.
"The investigation started at several warehouses in Jakarta and then followed up with PT TSL in Sidoarjo. The case is being handled by our team," Ade said on Thursday (6/25/2026).
According to him, the alleged involvement of state officials in alleged corruption was uncovered by the Law Enforcement Task Force of the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes. The alleged corruption case was then followed up by the INP Anti-Corruption Investigation Team.
"Everything is currently underway," he said.
