inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police has clarified information regarding the account of Pati resident Supriyono, which was used to collect donations for the United Pati Community Alliance (AMPB) protest plan on August 27, 2026.
Police confirmed that the account was not blocked, but rather requested a temporary suspension of transactions.
Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate submitted the transaction suspension request after investigators discovered the fundraising account was registered under a personal name.
According to Budi, raising large sums of money requires compliance with applicable regulations and mechanisms, including licensing.
"The fundraising must be carried out using a permit from a business entity, not by an individual," Budi said when met at Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Headquarters on Monday (8/24/2026).
Police are now investigating the activities and flow of funds into the account. Based on the latest records, the total amount collected reached IDR 80.9 million.
During the investigation, the police also coordinated with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Budi reiterated that the circulating term "account blocking" was incorrect. The letter sent by investigators to the bank was a notification regarding a request for a transaction delay.
"We are clarifying that the letter sent by investigators was a notification regarding a request for a transaction delay, not a blocking," he said.
The account in Supriyono's name was requested to have its transactions suspended on Friday (8/21/2026), coinciding with the arrival of 10 Pati residents in Jakarta.
The funds stored in the account were reportedly from public donations collected to support the AMPB action planned for August 27, 2026. The action was planned to voice demands regarding the ratification of the Asset Confiscation Bill.
