inp.polri.go.id - South Sumatra. The South Sumatra Regional Police expanded security on the second day of Eid al-Fitr 1447 H by targeting tourist attractions, Cemeteries, waterways, and residential areas abandoned by travelers.

This measure is part of Operation Ketupat Musi 2026 to ensure all post-Eid al-Fitr community activities are safe and conducive.

South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Sandi Nugroho emphasized that post-Eid security must encompass all community activities.

"Security is not limited to the homecoming routes. Tourism, pilgrimages, and even empty residential areas are also our priorities," explained Sandi, Tuesday (3/24/2026).

South Sumatra Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya, added that all personnel are present at every point of community activity.

This security provides a sense of security for people traveling, making pilgrimages, and leaving their homes during Eid.

"From tourist areas to residential areas, our personnel are on full alert. If you need assistance, you can call 110," he said.

He urged the public to remain vigilant, not to leave valuables unattended, and to ensure safety when carrying out activities in public places and waterways. The South Sumatra Regional Police reiterated their commitment to maintaining public order and security until the Eid al-Fitr homecoming flow is over.
