The Cyber Crime Directorate (Dittipidsiber) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Unit and the Cyber Crime Directorate of Metro Jaya Regional Police found posts containing child and female pornography while conducting initial monitoring of several groups on the Facebook social media platform that contained twisted sexual content.
Among the Facebook groups are the infamous Fantasi Berdarah and Suka Duka, which are known to have thousands of active members.The two groups are reported by the public to the police for promoting incest.
The police have succeeded in identifying the profiles of several perpetrators who were actively involved in the group, and are currently pursuing them in several locations.
"We are making maximum law enforcement efforts. We have identified the perpetrators' profiles and our team is pursuing them. We are also committed to continuing to trace and prosecute similar groups on various social media platforms," said Head of Public Relations of INP Public Information Section, Senior Superintendent Erdi A. Chaniago when confirmed in Jakarta, Tuesday (5/20/2025).
Erdi emphasized that the police will not tolerate any form of sexual content, especially that involving minors. He also appealed to the public not to hesitate to report suspicious findings or activities in cyberspace.
"We invite the public to play an active role in maintaining a healthy and safe digital space, and to report if they find any twisted and sick content that has the potential to violate the law," he said.
The INP stated its commitment to continue to conduct massive and consistent cyber patrols in order to create a clean, safe, and dignified digital space.
