inp.polri.go.id - North Kalimantan. The North Kalimantan Regional Police are fully committed to the success of the national program of simultaneous corn planting on 1 million hectares to support food self-sufficiency by 2025.
This commitment is realized through simultaneous corn planting activities in the third quarter of 2025, which will be held in Apung Village, Tanjung Selor District. Tuesday (08/07/2025)
This simultaneous corn planting event is a concrete manifestation of our shared commitment to strengthening national food security, in line with the Asta Cita (Public Goals) of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.
It emphasizes that food security is not solely the responsibility of farmers, but rather the responsibility of all elements of the nation to ensure sufficient and sustainable food availability for the community.
"North Kalimantan, as a region with extensive and fertile agricultural land potential, plays a crucial role in the success of the national self-sufficiency program. In the third quarter, 366.75 hectares of land will be available, of which 8.25 hectares will be simultaneously planted with corn as a concrete step to increase local food production and optimize unused land," said North Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Hary Sudwijanto.
In particular, Chief Hary expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to Rahman, who has prepared 15 hectares of land to support this activity. The initial corn planting today will take place on 5 hectares of land, which will be jointly managed by the Tunas Harapan Farmers Group and the Sukatani Farmers Group. This community contribution is a tangible reflection of support for the success of the food self-sufficiency program.
