Inp.polri.go.id - Padang Pariaman. Padang Pariaman Sub-regional Police in West Sumatra are gathering evidence after human body parts were found in multiple locations across the region on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"Every clue must be collected, including statements from those who may help clarify this case," said Padang Pariaman Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief First Inspector AA Regy on Wednesday evening (18/6/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
Body parts discovered in Koto Tangah and Batang Anai have been sent to Bhayangkara Police Hospital in Padang for autopsy and identification. Authorities are also examining accessories found near the remains, which helped a family come forward claiming a connection to the victim.
However, police stress that positive identification will rely on forensic results, including DNA tests.
"We continue to investigate thoroughly and urge the public to remain calm and trust the ongoing process," Chief Regy said.
The gruesome discovery has shocked locals, with police treating the case as a top investigative priority.
