inp.polri.go.id - Ambon. The Maluku Regional Police are currently investigating a brawl between students at State Vocational School 3 Ambon on Tuesday (8/19/2025).

The Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Rositah Umasugi, stated that the student brawl that occurred this afternoon in the Hunuth village area resulted in the death of a student identified as AP. He is suspected of having been stabbed by an unknown person using a sharp weapon.

"The Maluku Regional Police Chief has ordered a thorough investigation into the brawl between students at State Vocational School 3 Ambon," said Rositah Umasugi.

Rositah confirmed that anyone involved in the case will be prosecuted according to the law.

"Several parties have been questioned," said Rositah.

Currently, the security situation in the Hunuth village area, where the crime scene occurred (TKP), is under control. Hundreds of joint personnel from the Indonesian National Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) have been deployed to the location.

"Currently, the situation at the scene is safe and under control. Traffic flow is back to normal. We have also deployed joint personnel, including those from TNI," explained the Head of Public Relations for the Maluku Regional Police.

The public is urged to exercise restraint and not be easily provoked by provocateurs who refuse to see peace in Maluku.
