inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) has made halal certification free for Warung Tegal (warteg), Warung Sunda (warsun), Warung Padang (Padang food stall) and similar businesses.

"We bring good news for our fellow food stall entrepreneurs as now they can obtain halal certification for free," said BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan on Wednesday (8/20/2025).

He explained that businesses can apply for halal certification through the Free Halal Certification Program (SEHATI).

This step is based on BPJPH Head Decree Number 146 of 2025 concerning Technical Guidelines for Halal Certification Services for Micro and Small Businesses that are Aware of the Halal Statement of Micro and Small Businesses.

"With this new regulation, we will expedite and simplify the halal certification process," said the BPJPH Head.

Furthermore, the Head of BPJPH stated that the ease of halal certification aims to ensure all traditional food stalls can easily obtain halal certification through a halal product process assistance scheme.

With halal certification, stalls are expected to meet standards, thus increasing their competitiveness in the market.
