inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Amidst the ongoing drought affecting several areas in Tepus Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency, the need for clean water has become a serious issue for the community.
To help address this situation, the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Yogyakarta Regional Police, have installed a water treatment facility for affected residents.
The assistance was provided during a community service event held by the Yogyakarta Regional Government in collaboration with the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace and the Yogyakarta Regional Police at the Pudak Hamlet Hall, Tepus Village, Tepus Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency.
During the event, the water treatment facility owned by the Yogyakarta Regional Police's Mobile Brigade Corps was used to treat the previously cloudy water source. The water was then processed so that it could be safely used by the community, including for drinking.
Prince Yudanegara stated that this assistance represents a collaborative effort between various parties to assist communities facing clean water shortages.
He expressed his appreciation to the Yogyakarta Regional Police, the Gunungkidul Regency Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, and the Tepus Forkopimkap Regional Leadership Coordination Forum for facilitating the distribution and operation of the water treatment equipment, as directed by the Yogyakarta Governor.
"This clean water treatment equipment is a state grant from the Yogyakarta Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit. With this equipment, previously cloudy water can be treated so that it can be safely consumed by the public," said Yudanegara.
Meanwhile, the Head of Public Relations for the Yogyakarta Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Ihsan, stated that the Yogyakarta Regional Police's involvement in addressing clean water needs demonstrates the police's concern and commitment to being present among the community.
"We are not only present when the community needs a sense of security, but also strives to be present when the community faces humanitarian challenges such as the need for clean water. Through the facilities provided by the Yogyakarta Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, we strive to provide tangible benefits to residents affected by the drought," he said.
