Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The South Tangerang Sub-regional Police investigated an alleged case of violence against university students during a Sunday worship session in the Babakan area of Setu, Banten. 

The South Tangerang Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit Senior Inspector Alvino Cahyadi, confirmed the report on Monday (6/5/2024), explaining that the police have been gathering facts at the crime scene.

Senior Inspector M. Agil Sahril, the South Tangerang Police’s Public Relations Officer, outlined plans to summon local leaders to prevent similar incidents.

He emphasized the proactive measures being taken to prevent future occurrences and assured the public that updates on the case would be provided soon.

A viral video showed students of Pamulang University facing violence and stabbings during worship. 

Some students were visibly distressed, and one claimed involvement of the local neighborhood unit (RT).
