Police Quickly Evacuated a Pregnant Lady Trapped in a Flood

Novian Fitra, accompanied by Village Advisory Officer (Babinsa) and Bhayangkara Community Security and Order Unit (Bhabinkamtibmas), evacuates a lady who are about to give birth while trapped in a flood in Alu Ie Mirah Village, Indra Makmu District, East Aceh, Saturday (8/10/2022). Police chief Indra Makmu said that his party received information that there was a lady who are about to give birth while she was trapped in a flood. Then, Police Chief Indra Makmu, accompanied by Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas, helped evacuate the lady to the local health center. “We came to evacuate the flood victims, including a lady who are just ready to give birth. We have taken her to Community Health centers, “explained the Chief of Police, Indra Makmu. Indra Makmu appealed to the people to remain vigilant against the current extreme weather, because there’s often downpour lately. Currently, the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) said, as many as 2,436 residents were displaced due to floods that hit the East Aceh region, Aceh. Acting Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari in his written statement, stated that the floods hit six sub-districts in East Aceh, such as in Pante Bidari District, Punaron District, Birem Bayeun District, Indra Makmur District, Nurussalam District, and Banda Alam Sub-District. "Temporary information, it was recorded that 1,276 families or around 4,764 people were affected by the flood with a total of 1,276 houses inundated. This information was reported by the BNPB Operations Control Center (Pusdalops) based on data from the BPBD of East Aceh Regency," Abdul Muhari explained.
