inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Certain Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police (INP) is investigating alleged manipulation of palm oil export data, or under-invoicing, by a palm oil exporting company.
Investigators have conducted a series of inquiries, gathered preliminary evidence, and conducted a case conference.
The investigative team from Sub-Directorate 1 of the Directorate of Certain Crimes conducted a search of the PT MMS office on Ampera IV street, Pademangan, North Jakarta. In addition to the company office, a search was also conducted at the company's warehouse in the Laksana warehouse complex, Pakuhaji, Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Thursday, May 29, 2026.
During the search, investigators seized several pieces of evidence suspected of being related to the company's export activities. The seized items included company documents, invoices, Export Notification (PEB) documents, and several computer CPUs.
Head of Sub-Directorate 1 of the Directorate of Certain Crimes of INP, Senior Superintendent Setyo K. Heriyatno, revealed that investigators suspect export data manipulation to reduce the actual value of palm oil exports, or underinvoicing. This practice is suspected to have the potential to cause state losses as the reported export transaction values do not reflect the actual situation.
Setyo stated that his team is still conducting an in-depth investigation of all documents and evidence that have been secured.
"We are still examining and reviewing the documents found during the search to uncover the alleged crime," said Setyo on Saturday (5/30/2026).
According to him, investigators will track down the parties suspected of being involved in the export data manipulation.
"We will investigate who is responsible in this case and ensure that the law enforcement process is carried out professionally," he said.
He emphasized the police's commitment to continuing to enforce the law against various forms of violations in the trade and export sector of national strategic commodities. This is particularly true regarding the practice of under-invoicing and manipulation of crude palm oil (CPO) export data, which are considered detrimental to the state and disrupt the governance of Indonesia's export trade.
