inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan inspected security preparations, including the Field Kitchen Vehicle, ahead of the 220th Haul (celebration) of Sheikh Muhammad Arsyad Al-Banjari, also known as Datu Kalampayan, which will be held at the Tuhfaturraghibin Mosque in Dalam Pagar Ulu Village, Banjar Regency.
"We have prepared comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety and smooth running of today's event," said Yudah on Thursday (3/26/2026).
He revealed that 601 personnel were deployed in this security operation, consisting of 362 personnel from the South Kalimantan Regional Police and 239 personnel from the Banjar Sub-regional Police.
In addition, security is also supported by 2,300 volunteers stationed at strategic points around the location of the ceremony, which is expected to be attended by thousands of worshippers.
To ensure the comfort of the public, the Mobile Brigade Unit of the South Kalimantan Regional Police has deployed various facilities, including two Field Kitchen Vehicles producing 3,000 free ready-to-eat meals.
In addition, three water treatment units, one water tank, and one toilet vehicle are available to provide clean water.
The South Kalimantan Regional Police's Water Police Directorate has also prepared two rubber boats, each with a capacity of six people, to assist with the movement of pilgrims through the river.
In the health sector, the Medical Unit and Bhayangkara Hospital have deployed 40 healthcare workers, including general practitioners, nurses, and pharmacists.
They are supported by two ambulances and one operational vehicle. The medical team will conduct foot patrols along the area to directly monitor the pilgrims' condition.
To alleviate traffic congestion, 13 parking areas have been provided around the location: six from Pesayangan, three from Sungai Tabuk, two from Astambul, and two from Pasar Papan.
"We urge all congregants to maintain order and obey the directions of officers in the field so that the Datu Kelampayan haul commemoration series can run safely, smoothly and solemnly," stressed the Regional Police Chief.
