Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra said on Wednesday (17/9/2025) that the long-awaited Police Reform Commission could be established as early as October 2025.
“It might be formed in the next two to three weeks,” he told reporters after meeting President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace.
He added that newly appointed Presidential Adviser for Public Security and Police Reform, General (ret) Ahmad Dofiri, will also play a role in the process.
The details, including the commission’s leadership and members, remain under discussion and will be finalized by presidential decree, according to antaranews.com.
President Prabowo has suggested that the commission reflects broad public demand for accountability and change in law enforcement.
