The spoke person of Centralized Police Lilin Operation, Senior Superintendent Ahmad Musthofa Kamal reveals traffic reports across Java during the return flow of Chirstmas and New Year Eve holiday. Ahmad states the traffic exit volume towards Jakarta in Cikampek Main Toll Gate on Sunday 31st, December 2023 was 19,917 vehicles. Meanwhile, the traffic flow exiting Jakarta in Cikupa Toll Road towards Merak Port was 41,485, while 45,787 were entering Jakarta. Situation in Ciawi toll road towards puncak is also crowded similar to others with 22,856 going towards Jakarta while 20,476 are withdrawing from Jakarta. Police also recorded traffic accidents on December 31st, 2023 with a total of 64 accidents. From the accidents, 9 loss their lives, 8 suffering major injuries, while 87 others only having minor injuries. “We implore the public who are on the road to ensure that you are in prime condition. We also suggest you to check your vehicle before departing and took advantage of the rest areas effectively,” implore the police Lilin Operation spoke person. (ad/rd/pr/nm)
