The Traffic Directorate of West Java Regional Police confirms the second return traffic flow of 2024 has rocketed to 100% as police implements one-way to contraflow engineering towards Jakarta. Senior Superintendent Wibowo confirms there is an increase in West Java traffic flow. “As was predicted, today would be the peak for the second return flow of Christmas and New Year Eve holiday. According to our monitoring and CCTV counting in Cipali Toll Road, around these hours, we saw an increase in traffic volume from the east or Java, towards Jakarta,” explains Wibowo on Monday (1/1/2024). Wibowo says that the police recorded the traffic volume based on vehicle crossing the street per hour. “Vehicle crossing the Cipali Toll Road have increased from 2,900 to 3,100 per hour which the volume ration in the toll road has exceeded 0.8 percent of 2,700 vehicle maximum capacity,” detailed Wibowo on Monday (1/1/2024). Wibowo adds that from kilometer 72 to kilometer 36 of Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, police have implemented contraflow traffic engineering towards Jakarta.
