inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency, Commissioner General Wahyu Widada says the highest number of victims of Human Trafficking case are coming from three regions.

“From East Nusa Tenggara, East Java, and West Java,” revealed Wahyu on Friday (11/22/2024).

Wahyu adds that mostly, the illegal migrant workers were sent to Malaysia due to its close proximity.

Before they departed to Malaysia, says Wahyu, they usually transit in Kalimantan Island as the location is bordered with Malaysia.

"Most of them go to Kalimantan, like Nunukan, by ship. Access is also easier," said Wahyu.
