Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The Police Science College (STIK)  enhanced early detection of public security and order disruptions through its community service program in Palembang and Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra, from 25 to 28 August 2026.

Focusing on fire-prone areas, STIK introduced digital community-based security systems to accelerate communication, reporting, and coordination during emergencies like forest and land fires.

"STIK has a responsibility to apply knowledge to answer real issues. Digital technology speeds up information flow, but community involvement remains the vital component of early detection," said STIK Head Inspector General Eko Rudi Sudarto on Sunday, (30/8/2026).

Led by senior lecturers including Prof. Lindrianasari and Senior Superintendent Yudhi Hery Setiawan, the initiative provided training to police, local governments, universities, and schools to build sustainable early detection networks.
