inp.polri.go.id – The combined Opsnal Team of the West Lombok Police Narcotics Unit managed to dismantle an inter-provincial drug syndicate. With the arrest of two suspected high-profile drug dealers, the police managed to secure 42.88 grams of methamphetamine in West Lombok, Friday (27/05/22). The Head of Drug Investigation Unit of the West Lombok Police, AKP Faisal Afrihadi, SH., confirmed this report.
"The suspects are wanted by the Lampung Police's Drug Directorate, and the West Lombok Police Legal Area, we managed to confiscate 42.88 grams of suspected methamphetamine from our raids in wanted people’s hide out," explained the Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit, Saturday (28/5/22).
Previously, Lampung Police managed to arrest the two men, each with the initials IGS (45) and PJP (35). Both of them are residents of Jagaraga Village, Kuripan District, West Lombok Regency.
"Previously, they had been arrested by the Drugs Directorate of the Lampung Police, who were backed up by the Mataram Police in the Mataram area," explained AKP Faisal.
With the arrest of IGS and PJP in Mataram, they then carried out a raid on IGS's house, in Jagaraga Village, Kuripan District, West Lombok Regency, Friday, May 27 2022. This time, the Head of the Drug Investigation Unit of the West Lombok Police, took the direct lead in backing up the team from the Lampung Regional Police in carrying out the raid.
“The joint team arrested two people and found a pack of black Oakley brand glasses, which were suspected of containing 42.88 grams of methamphetamine,” explained AKP Faisal.
Two other people who were at the scene also had been secured and were investigated by the police.
"We also secured two other people, INB and IKJ, but their status is currently being investigated whether they are involved in this case or not," said AKP Faisal.
The suspect and evidence were then taken to the West Lombok Police Narcotics Unit for further examination. As for the follow-up, the suspects also conduct a urine test and an initial examination.
