Inp.polri.go.id – North Jakarta. The North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police successfully secured hundreds of adolescents during the Takbiran Night Parade in North Jakarta. In total, there are 124 teenagers secured by the police. "These hundreds of teenagers were secured to prevent clashes from occurring between groups during the Takbiran Night Parade," says North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Gidion Arif Setyawan on Wednesday (4/10/2024). Gidion says the hubdreds of adolescents were secured across North Jakarta from Kelapa Gading to Sunter. Police says the hundreds of teenagers parade by carrying huge flags and firing fireworks. Furthermore, police reports that the parade used an open bed truck, which is part of police effort in guaranteing the safety of these teenagers. "We also called their parents or families to pick them up at our HQ," says Gideon. The Metro Jaya Regional Police previously has released an issue for Jakarta Takbiran Night Parade to be held peacefully by not provoking others. (ad/pt/pr/nm)
