inp.polri.go.id - Maluku. The Maluku Regional Police are strengthening cross-sector synergy to improve protection for women and children through collaboration with various stakeholders in the region.
This commitment was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Maluku Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Rositah Umasugi, after attending the 2026 Consolidation Forum for Thousand Islands Women of Maluku at Education Quality Assurance Center (BPMP) Hall, Ambon.
"The Maluku Regional Police, are committed to continuously strengthening synergy with all stakeholders in providing protection for women and children. This issue cannot be resolved by one institution alone; it requires collective collaboration," Rositah said.
She stated that the Maluku Regional Police continue to encourage strengthening services and handling cases of violence against women and children through units tasked with protection, assistance, and law enforcement.
"Our duty is not only in law enforcement, but also in developing prevention efforts, educating, and creating a safe environment for women and children in Maluku," she said.
Rositah hopes the Consolidation Forum can serve as a momentum to strengthen communication and shared concerns, as well as produce concrete steps to create a safe space for women and children.
"Through this forum, we want to reinforce the message that protecting women and children is a shared responsibility. The Maluku Regional Police are ready to collaborate with all parties to create a safe, just, and prosperous society," she said.
