Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook video falsely claimed President Prabowo Subianto had abolished the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, threatening thousands of nutrition service units.

The claim was denied by government officials. 

“The MBG program continues with strict evaluation amid organizational restructuring,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, as reported by tirto.id on 13 June 2026.

Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik S. Deyang, confirmed adjustments are being made to improve efficiency and ensure aid reaches the right beneficiaries through refocusing efforts.

Authorities emphasized that MBG remains a national priority and warned the public not to be misled by unverified social media content.
