inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Metro Jaya Regional Police and related institutions reinstated their security operation for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) and General Election Commission (KPU). The security is to anticipate a follow up protest.

“For DPR, we stationed 2,779 personnel, for security in Sapta Pesona building we deployed 940 personnel, and for KPU security we sent 1,290 personnel,” said Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division Chief, Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam on Friday (8/23/2024).

For traffic engineering, Ade says that the operation will adapt to the situation at the field.

The Head of Metro Jaya Regional Police Public Relations Division Chief implores the field coordinator of the rally to manage the protestor not to disturb other public activities.

“To the field coordinator and orator, we implore you not to provoke the mass. Do the rally peacefully and not damage any public facilities. Respect others rights, respect those who are crossing the road,” urged Ade.
