"The total amount of money that was confiscated by investigators was Rp1,081,806,700 and investigators managed to confiscate a unit of Daihatsu Feroza car with the plate number of D-1561-DI, and a unit of Wuling Conferno car with a plate number of KB-271-XX," told Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Police Commissioner Shinto Bina Gunawan Silitonga, S.I.K., M.Sc. to the reporters in a press conference.

"After working on the case for two weeks, investigators finally managed to arrest ASP alias Putra (25), from Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan, who works as a construction worker, but suspiciously keeps large-scale money in his rented house which investigators found during a search. The total money that the investigators found was Rp366,090,000," explained the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police.
The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police revealed that after an examination and investigation was done to ASP, He admitted that he was related to the suspect BY, one of a prominent drug dealer.
“ASP actively helps BY in smuggling the drugs from one place to another,” said Commissioner Shinto.
In addition, the Police Commissioner also said that the suspect BY had also saved some money from his crime through his third wife with the initials of PWT (42) and her neighbor, YS (25).
"Because the huge amount of money that BY has from his drug syndicate, he then used his third wife, PWT and her neighbor, a woman with the initials YS, to save his money. The money confiscated by the officers from them were Rp598.300.000, and Rp117.416.700," said the Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police.
In an effort to follow up the money transactions from those evidence appropriately, Banten Police investigators will cooperate with PPATK to assist investigators in tracing the flow of funds.
The suspects will be charged with Article 137 of Law no. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum penalty of 5 years and a maximum of 15 years in prison, and a fine of at least Rp1 billion and a maximum fine of Rp10 billion.
