inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police have successfully dismantled an electronic cigarette or vape distribution network containing etomidate, operated by a Chinese dealer identified as XC.
The Head of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Sub-regional Police Narcotics Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Michael Kharisma Tandayu, stated in Tangerang on Saturday that the international narcotics distribution network involved two Indonesian dealers, identified as RR and RN, and implicated Instagram celebrity Julia Prastini, also known as Jule, as a user of the illicit substance.
"From this case, the police have named three suspects, while the celebrity has been placed in a rehabilitation program," he said.
He explained that the case began with a series of investigations and follow-ups conducted by the investigative team on Monday (9/14/2026).
"Initially, we conducted a trial. We arrested two women with the initials RR and RN at an apartment in West Jakarta," he explained.
Then, Michael continued, after securing the two suspects, the police confiscated 27 vape cartridges containing etomidate. Based on the investigation, it was discovered that there had been a transaction and evidence of the delivery of the goods to the Instagram celebrity Jule.
"The police then moved to apprehend Jule at an apartment in South Jakarta. Based on the results of a urine test, she tested positive for etomidate," he explained.
He said that efforts to develop this case were also furthered by the successful arrest of a Chinese national with the initials XC.
From XC, officers seized additional evidence in the form of 71 vape cartridges containing the same substance.
"So this is complete, from the dealer to the user. We have arrested four people in total, three of whom we have named as suspects," he said.
