inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit is conducting tight security and sterilization at several locations where Eid al-Fitr prayers are being held by Muhammadiyah members in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Police Assistant Superintendent Asri Dyini, Commander of the Gegana Detachment of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit, stated that these security measures are being taken to ensure the safety and comfort of the community celebrating the holiday of victory.

"Today, we are carrying out sterilization and security measures during the Eid prayers held by the Muhammadiyah groups. The goal is to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr today," said Asri, Friday (3/20/2026).

Asri stated that for this security, the security force deployed a joint force of personnel with special qualifications to maintain the sterility of worship locations at several locations in Kendari City.

"For the Gegana composite force, we have deployed 32 personnel," he said.

Asri detailed that the personnel were divided into several task units, including two composite sterilization teams tasked with ensuring the prayer area was sterile of hazardous materials before the prayer began, and a mobile Response Center (RC) patrol team monitoring the situation around the prayer area.

"This is all to ensure the safety of the community celebrating Eid al-Fitr," said Police Commissioner Asri.
