inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Forestry ensures that public services in National Parks (TN) and Nature Tourism Parks (TWA) during the Eid al-Fitr holiday period adhere to the principles of zero waste and zero accidents.

The Director General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation (KSDAE) of the Ministry of Forestry, Satyawan Pudyatmoko, stated that all Technical Implementation Units (UPTs) of the Directorate General of KSDAE in the field have been instructed to boot area security and conduct routine patrols to maintain forest sustainability during the long holiday period.

"Our preparations focus on six main aspects, from managing carrying capacity to implementing cashless payments. We want to ensure every visitor has a smooth and safe tourism experience," explained Satyawan on Thursday (3/19/2026).

Setyawan stated that the use of digital technology, such as online booking, has significantly accelerated service at the entrance and reduced crowds/density, ensuring the principle of zero accidents and maintaining visitor comfort as their top priority.

This step, he explained, is in line with the direction of the Minister of Forestry and the Deputy Minister of Forestry, who emphasized strengthening the principles of zero waste, zero accidents, and preventing the accumulation of visitors through a digital system.

Based on an evaluation of the Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr holidays in 2025, 421,683 tourists visited the National Parks and Natural Parks (TWA), with peak visits occurring three days after Eid al-Fitr. This high level of public interest also contributed to Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP), reaching IDR 15.8 billion.

Climbing is a popular activity, with mountains like Leuser, Ciremai, Rinjani, and Bukit Kaba among the most visited locations. Furthermore, conservation areas are now popular locations for family gatherings, offering a refreshing, open atmosphere while introducing nature to the younger generation.

To ensure comfort and consider environmental carrying capacity, the government is implementing special operational policies for the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.
