inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Criminal Investigation Directorate moved RS and TT, along with the evidence to the next procession to the Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office on Monday (6/22/2026).

The transfer relates to the alleged defamation case and alleged crimes related to electronic documents.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin, stated that the entire case handling process was carried out in accordance with applicable legal provisions.

He emphasized that investigators firmly followed the regulation stipulated in the Criminal Procedure Code (KUHAP).

"We ensure that all stages carried out by our investigators are in accordance with KUHAP procedures," said Iman.

Furthermore, he also encouraged all parties to provide proper legal education to the public. If anyone believes there is something inappropriate in the legal process, official mechanisms are available, such as pretrial proceedings and internal oversight channels.

On the other hand, the Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, added that the police are not anti-criticism and are open to suggestions and input.

He also reminded that criticism must be based on legal facts, not through provocative narratives, hoaxes, or irresponsible information.

Budi explained that the coercive measures taken by investigators are part of a series of legitimate and accountable legal processes. Before detaining, he said, investigators are required to conduct physical and psychological examinations of suspects to ensure their health.

"Medical examinations and treatment at the Kramat Jati Police Hospital are carried out as a form of respect for human rights. This legal process is emphasized not to target a person's personality, profession, or public figure, but rather based on public reports supported by evidence, witness statements, expert testimony, and other evidence," he said.
