Inp.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police have uncovered a drug distribution network that concealed crystal methamphetamine in used powdered drink sachets, arresting two two suspects who were reported to by their own family.
“This case began with a tip-off from residents. Our narcotics unit, and with the help of locals, arrested the suspects and seized the evidence,” said Banten Police Director of Narcotics, Senior Superintendent Wiwin Setiawan, on Saturday (19/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The suspects, identified as WR and AP, used a "drop point" system under instructions from an inmate at Pandeglang Prison. Suspect WR admitted to placing meth at 19 locations across Serang, using empty Nutrisari drink packets.
Police confiscated 2.4 grams of suspected meth, digital scales, phones, and drink sachets. Suspect WR earned up to Rp 6 million per delivery, while suspect AP received smaller payments. Both face up to 20 years in prison under the Narcotics Law.
