Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps deployed two types of Traffic Accident Analysis (TAA) technology on Wednesday (29/4/2026) to process the crime scene of the fatal train collision at East Bekasi Station.
The investigation utilizes both static and portable units to create a highly detailed digital reconstruction of the accident.
"The static technology with LiDAR and 360-degree cameras detects the entire environment, while the portable technology provides a 'helicopter view' to illustrate the scene in 3D with 4K quality," explained Senior Inspector Sandhi Wiedyanoe, the Data Collection and Analysis Head of of the Traffic Corps Accident Sub-directorate, according to antaranews.com.
These recordings will serve as official electronic evidence for prosecutors and judges during the legal process.
In addition to the forensic imaging, police are investigating a green taxi involved in the incident. The collision between the Argo Bromo Anggrek and a Commuter Line on Monday night resulted in 15 deaths and 88 injuries. Authorities are now coordinating with safety directorates to evaluate the transport companies involved.
