inp.polri.go.id – The police have arrested another two new suspects for the assaults of social media activist, Ade Armando. These two new suspects are not the main six suspects that were previously identified as perpetrators by the authorities.
"After developing the case, we have found another people who attacks Ade Armando, and they have been secured" explained the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of the Polda Metro Jaya, Commissioner Endra Zulpan, Thursday (14/4/22).
Kabidhumas explained that the two new suspects arrested are Markos Iswan who was arrested in Sawangan, Depok at 01.25 WIB, and Alfikri Hidayatullah who was arrested an hour later at around 02.55 WIB in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. "Both of them are involved in the beating (of Ade Armando)," he explained.
A total of seven suspects have been arrested by the police. Six of them were perpetrators of the beating, they are Mohammad Bagja, Abdul Latip, Dhia Ul Haq, Komarudin, Markos Iswan, and Alfikri Hidayatullah.
Meanwhile, another suspect, Arif Pardiani, is the provocateur who screams to gang up on Ade Armando. Two other suspects, Ade Purnama, and the figure in the hat (previously suspected of being named Abdul Manaf) are still being chased by the police.
In this case, the suspects were charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code on beatings with a penalty of up to 5 years in prison.
