Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) reported a nationwide drop in security disruptions and general crime rates, urging the public to maintain civic order and social harmony across all regions.

According to INP monitoring data for the 24-hour period ending Sunday, total security disruptions dropped by 1.91 percent to 1,491 incidents. Total criminal cases decreased by 2.48 percent, falling from 1,409 to 1,374 cases nationwide, comprising 1,188 conventional crimes, 174 transnational crimes, and 12 state-asset offenses.

"General public order across the nation remains stable and conducive," said INP Head of Public Relations Division Inspector General Johnny Edison Isir on Monday (24/8/2026). "This decline in crime rates reflects the strong partnership between law enforcement and local communities."

He thanked civic, religious, and academic leaders for supporting public safety, urging Indonesians to express solidarity with communities affected by recent forest fires and the East Nusa Tenggara earthquake, while encouraging social media users to verify information carefully and refrain from sharing provocative content.
