inp.polri.go.id - West Sumatra. The Sumatra Post-Disaster Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Acceleration Task Force (PRR) conducted monitoring, coordination, and on-site inspections of several disaster-affected areas in Agam Regency and Padang Pariaman Regency, West Sumatra, on May 21–22, 2026.
The activity was led by Brigadier General Yopie Indra Prasetya Sepang. This activity is part of efforts to accelerate post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction to ensure the recovery process is optimal and on target.
During a visit to Padang Pariaman, Yopie and his entourage reviewed the readiness and challenges of the permanent housing development plan, reviewed the progress of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of lightly, moderately, and severely damaged agricultural land, and directly inspected the condition of temporary housing and met directly with disaster-affected communities.
The team also inspected the affected river, which the Ministry of Public Works has included in the river normalization plan and bridge connectivity, discussing with the local governments of Agam Regency and Padang Pariaman.
During the event, Yopie engaged in direct dialogue with the community to hear various inputs and address the challenges they still face while living in temporary shelters.
He emphasized that accelerating rehabilitation and reconstruction is a top priority so that people can quickly return to normal and comfortable lives.
The visit also served as part of a field evaluation to ensure all rehabilitation and reconstruction programs were aligned with community needs.
This on-site review is expected to accelerate the construction of permanent housing and the restoration of infrastructure and the agricultural sector in the affected areas.
