inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto conveyed Indonesia's commitment to strengthening cooperation with China, in a bilateral meeting with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Sunday (5/25/2025).

"Indonesia is ready to create a safe and prosperous region. Indonesia is ready to strengthen cooperation with China so that together we can create a peaceful region, which is safe for all," Prabowo said.

Quoted from Antaranews, Prabowo affirmed Indonesia's readiness to create a safe and prosperous region and strengthen cooperation with China in order to realize a peaceful and safe region for all parties.

In an effort to maintain regional stability, the President said Indonesia will continue to support and accelerate the completion of negotiations on the Code of Conduct. The President stated that China is a decisive partner in this process.

Regarding maritime security, the President welcomed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Indonesian Maritime Security Agency (Bakamla) and the China Coast Guard.

"This MoU will boost cooperation in capacity development, information development, and maritime safety," Prabowo said.

Prabowo received an official visit from Chinese Prime Minister (PM) Li Qiang at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, Sunday, during his three-day visit to Indonesia.

This meeting is a form of commitment from both countries to strengthen and improve bilateral relations between Indonesia and China, as well as strengthen cooperation in various strategic fields.
