inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto is targeting the establishment of at least one flagship school in every province.

He stated that this policy is part of a national strategy to accelerate the development of superior human resources and future leadership for the nation.

"Our target is that every province must have one Taruna Nusantara Highschool or Garuda Highschool  flagship school," said President Prabowo on Tuesday (1/13/2026).

To achieve this, the government will expand the Taruna Nusantara Highschool network and establish at least 20 similar schools called Garuda Highschool.

These schools are designed as models of superior education to reach more regions and accelerate equitable access to quality education in Indonesia.

Currently, Taruna Nusantara Highschool has three operational campuses: in Magelang, Malang, and Cimahi. Construction of other Taruna Nusantara High School campuses is underway, in Nusantara Capital (IKN) in East Kalimantan, Minahasa, North Sulawesi, and Pagaralam, South Sumatra.

In addition, President Prabowo plans to build 500 integrated flagship schools. He emphasized that these flagship schools will not only focus on academic achievement, but also on character, morals, and personality development.

Graduates of these schools are expected to become great leaders with great charisma and characteristics in advancing the Human Resource of the country.
