inp.polri.go.id - South Tapanuli. Personnel from the North Sumatra Regional Police's Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Battalion C continued recovery efforts following the flash floods that struck Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency.
The activities focused on Huta Godang and Garoga Villages, with the primary goal being cleaning people's homes and constructing sanitation and clean water facilities for public use.
Equipped with equipment such as hoes, shovels, wheelbarrows, water pumps, and chainsaws, the entire work process was carried out through community cooperation, while prioritizing safety and order.
As of midday, the work progress had shown significant results. The cleanup of Mr. Rinto Harahap's house has reached approximately 40 percent completion, with the soil from the inside of the house being used as a floor covering.
Meanwhile, the excavation of a public well and the construction of a water ball tank have reached 95 percent completion, and the construction of a public restroom and toilet at the At-Taqwa Muhammadiyah Mosque is approximately 60 percent complete, all of which will be continued in the next phase.
First Police Inspector Deny Lius Tarigan stated that the presence of the Mobile Brigade Corps in the community demonstrates the police's commitment to assisting in the recovery of people's lives after the disaster.
"Personnel are present not only to provide physical assistance, but also to encourage the community to remain strong and optimistic in facing this difficult situation," he said.
Through these activities, it is hoped that community facilities can quickly return to normal and that community activities can slowly recover.
The presence of the Mobile Brigade Battalion C at the disaster site demonstrates the humanitarian cooperation between officers and the community in rebuilding hope after the disaster.
