inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto is visiting Japan to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, technology, education, forestry and the environment.
State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, speaking to reporters, stated that during the visit, President Prabowo will discuss various strategic issues that have strengthened the cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
"These meetings are certainly aimed at strengthening the friendship between the two countries, and the President will specifically discuss strategic issues that have strengthened our cooperation with the Japanese government," Prasetyo said in Jakarta on Sunday (3/29/2026).
Prasetyo stated that President Prabowo's visit to the Land of the Rising Sun was at the invitation of Emperor Naruhito. The Head of State is scheduled to meet with Emperor Naruhito and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
"So, of course, the agenda includes a meeting with the Emperor, followed by a meeting with Prime Minister Takaichi," Prasetyo said.
President Prabowo Subianto departed for Japan on Sunday for an official visit. This visit is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Japan.
