inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto will likely send an envoy to attend Pope Francis' funeral at the Vatican, Rome, on Saturday (26/4) at around 10:00 local time.

Indonesian Presidential Spokesperson Prasetyo Hadi told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, that President Prabowo will likely not be able to attend Pope Francis' funeral in person.

"Due to one reason or another, the President will likely not be able to attend the Pope's funeral in person. He plans to send an envoy," Prasetyo said in response to reporters' questions, quoted by Antara, Wednesday (4/23/2025).

He said that he was also still waiting for the results of the coordination, especially regarding the certainty of attendance or not, along with the President's envoy who will later depart for Rome to attend Pope Francis' funeral.

Pope Francis' funeral mass is scheduled for Saturday (26/4) at 10:00 local time (15:00 WIB) in St. Peter's Square, Vatican, Rome.
