inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi was appointed as the head of the Layoff Mitigation Task Force.

The appointment was announced after the Layoff Mitigation Task Force and government representatives held a coordination meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) leadership at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta.

"Everyone agreed to appoint us to become the head of the Layoff Mitigation Task Force as we are considered capable of bridging various parties and stakeholders," said the Minister of State Secretary on Friday (6/26/2026).

Prasetyo stated that after a year-long formation process, the Layoff Mitigation Task Force has now begun working to map industry issues to prevent a wave of layoffs in Indonesia.

According to him, the Layoff Mitigation Task Force will collaborate with the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s Manpower Desk to monitor and exchange information on issues in companies that could potentially lead to layoffs.

The Task Force will implement mitigation measures for companies that are likely to carry out layoffs one by one. In addition, the Task Force is also focusing on companies that have already laid off workers but have not yet fulfilled their obligations.

"We are mitigating the situation one by one because layoffs are not always related to raw material supply issues, such as gas or coal. Sometimes there are also internal conflicts within company management. However, whatever the cause, it is our responsibility to work together to mitigate the situation," explained the Minister of State Secretary.

Present at the meeting were Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPSI) Andi Gani Nena Wea, Special Advisor to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for Manpower and Worker Welfare Said Iqbal, and representatives from the National Police's Manpower Desk.

Meanwhile, the House of Representatives (DPR) was represented by Deputy Speakers Sufmi Dasco Ahmad and Cucun Ahmad Syamsurijal.
