inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Bandung Sub-regional City Police strengthened regional security readiness by holding a City Security System simulation in the Tegallega Park area, Bandung City, West Java.

The exercise involved the Bandung Sub-regional City Police together with the Bandung Sub-regional Police, Cimahi Sub-regional Police and Sumedang Sub-regional Police. The simulation was held to test the readiness of personnel in dealing with various potential security disturbances, especially demonstrations that developed into anarchy.

"This exercise is used as a means to improve capabilities in order to secure the City of Greater Bandung," said Bandung Police Chief Senior Superintendent Dedi Supriyadi in Bandung, Wednesday (9/9/2026).

In this simulation, the police demonstrated a security scenario for a number of vital objects in Bandung City, including Gedung Sate and the West Java Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) Building.

The scenario begins with a mass demonstration. The situation then developed into riot and the masses attempted to storm a number of vital objects.

Facing this situation, police personnel were trained to control the crowd. The police also used water cannon vehicles as part of efforts to repel the angry mobs and secure the targeted objects.

Then, the simulation continues with another riot developed in different locations. These conditions mean that security requires more personnel to control the situation.

The Bandung Sub-regional City Police then deployed mobile brigade personnel to strengthen security and deal with increasingly widespread chaotic situations.

After taking action according to procedures, personnel succeeded in controlling the situation. The crowd was finally repulsed and conditions returned to safety.

Dedi explained that the Sispamkota training was also a means for personnel to hone their skills in dealing with various situations in the field.

"In this training field, personnel are given refresher positions and measurable actions in accordance with the mandate of the law," he said.
